I'm importing my W-2 and when I put in the employee's ID number, the address they import is different than the address listed on my W-2

You will want to make sure the employer's address is the same as it is on your W2. If the employer's imported address is different than what you see on your printed form, replace the imported data with the printed data. If it is the employee's address that is different, then no concern. The employee (ie. the tax payer) address is pulled from the Personal Info section and should be your most recent address and does not need to match to the one on the W2.
