Your post indicates you used the TurboTax Live Full Service Self-Employed online edition at $389.
You had to request both the Live option and the Full Service option. And you were shown the TurboTax account fees before paying the TurboTax account fees in the File section of the program on Step 1.
If you disagreed with the fees why did you pay the fee with a credit card or request the fees be paid from the federal tax refund?
The IRS will review any tax return filed for any reason the IRS deems necessary. Sometimes it is random and sometimes it is because the IRS has information that the return filed may have incorrect information entered.
I already filed but i received around $546. Out of the $8 hundred where did the othere $3 hundred dollars go . Then I got a letter from IRS saying that I was over paid and I owe $717. For the stimulus check . Can't turbo tax see that on IRS side for the charges ?
@Jose Luis Gonzales Jr - Turbo Tax has no access to anything once the tax return is submitted to the IRS. Any correspondance from the IRS is confidential between you and the IRS; Turbo Tax knows nothing.
What year are you referrring to ? Sounds like it is 2020 or 2021 and if you indicated on your tax return (look at line 30 in either year) that you did not receive the stimulus, the money you are due would be posted on Line 30. However, if the IRS records indicate they already sent you that stimulus payment, they are going to adjust line 30.
if you can provide more detail on what you and the EXACT amount of the adjustment and what is on Line 30, I could help more.
