The Advantage plan is just the regular Desktop CD/Download program that you can buy in the stores or from here,

Basically what you get is the convenience that it automatically sends it to you each year as soon as it comes out.  But you can find it other places for less.  Even on the Turbo Tax website they have promotions so you have to watch the price.

The TurboTax desktop software includes 5 free federal tax return e-files (IRS limit).  Any tax returns over the 5 have to be printed and mailed to the IRS.  For a state tax return there is an e-file charge for each state return e-filed, except for a New York state return.  The state e-file charge is $19.99 to $24.99 depending on when during the tax season the state return is e-filed.  To avoid the state e-file charge just print and mail the state tax return.

There is no limit on the number of federal or state tax returns that can be created using the desktop editions.

The limit of 5 federal e-files is set by the IRS, not by TurboTax.
