www.InstallTurboTax.com has a improper link to Premier. When you click to download Premier, you get the Personal turbotax instead. how to get the proper version?

Did you buy Home & Business?   That is for personal returns that use Schedule C for self employment business income.   You probably need Turbo Tax business which is a separate program.

You will need Turbo Tax Business for Windows.   It is not available to do online or on a Mac.  And it will not do your personal 1040 return.  You can have both Turbo Tax Business and a personal version (like Home & Business) installed at the same time.

I looked at my file.  My 2024 Home & Business download is
Windows_PC_TurboTax_Download.exe

It doesn't specify the version. All the personal versions have the same .exe install file. I think knows what version you bought by the 16 digit License Code you enter to activate it.

Did you buy both Premier and Home & Business?  You only need to download 1 install file.  It has all the programs in it.  Your License Code opens the features for your version.

Here's how to activate a different version. There is a way to have 2 licenses. You don't need to install the second version just enter the License Code. Under Help - Switch Product - Activate new product. Don't know what that will do or what benefit you will get. It won't allow you to efile more than 5 or get a different free state program download.

I purchased both the Home & Business and Premier.  They are not the same product, and should not be the same download. The Home & Business allows for 1040 (personal) and LLC (home business). The Premier is used for corporations (1120S form). I have purchased/installed both these products for the past 13 years without an issue.

I downloaded both for the appropriate link and, unfortunately, the Premier download is NOT the Premier product.  When you try to install it, it says the product is already installed (because the download is not the Premier product, it is the Home & Business). I also looked at the html source code of the page and confirmed the link is incorrect.  Amazon has already refunded the Premier purchase and I will need to purchase from a different vendor that doesn't use the www.InstallTurboTax.com  as their distribution link.

WHAT??  Premier is another personal version.  Always has been.  The personal programs are:

Basic, Deluxe, Premier and Home & Business.  You can see them here,

Also you can use any personal Desktop program.  They all have the same forms, you just get more help in the higher versions.  So you can even use Deluxe with schedule C for self employment, etc.  instead of Home & Business.  

And Home & Business is for personal 1040 returns with Schedule C for self employment, sole proprietor and Single Member LLC.  If you have a Partnership or Multi Member LLC or a Single Member LLC that is an S corp  you need the separate Business program I posted above.  You can buy TT Business for 1120S corp here,

You are confused.  You probably have been buying Premier for your personal return and BUSINESS for your 1120-S (not Home&Business).    You get a K-1 from the 1120-S to enter into Premier.  Premier is for investments and K-1.

you are correct.  brain fog between Quickbooks (which we have always used Premier) and Turboxtax.
