Will turbotax create the Form 1096 for Form 1099misc created using turbotax?

I used Turbotax to create a Form 1099misc.  Will Turbotax create the required Form 1096?

Yes.   When you have finished creating the 1099s you will be given the opportunity to print out both the 1099s and the 1096 [Annual Summary and Transmittal of U.S. Information Returns].

When choosing the opportunity to print the 1099-Misc, it includes Copy C (for payor) but NOT the 1096. I still need the 1096.

is there a way to use the pre printed 1099 forms from irs.  i tried to print one but it did not do correctly with the red boxes.

i would suggest using the Turbo Tax forms from Quick Employer forms. Here is the access.

You can fill out 1099-MISCs and W-2s online by going to Quick Employer Forms from TurboTax.

The form says "photo copies not acceptable"  Is this printed form acceptable??

No. A Form 1096 is not needed when you e-file the 1099-MISC.  The link will take you to a page of FAQs about Quick Employer Forms.

Keep in mind that Form 1099-NEC replaces the Form 1099-MISC for the payment of services to a single person when paid $600 or more in the calendar year.

The IRS site says you must use the "red Shaded" 1096 form for them to be able to scan it.  Does the 1096 printed in Turbo Tax for Home and Business work or does it have to be printed on the Red Shaded form.  If so, where can you print the Turbo Tax information on the IRS form 1096

You can get the red forms at office supply stores but you have to fill it out yourself.  I used to go to the library to use a typewriter.  Just copy the plain copy Turbo Tax prints out.
