Will the TurboTax software allow me to file 1099-MISC for a sole propriety

Hi there,

How do I create a FORM 1099-MISC for a sole proprietorship on turbo tax software?  I have trouble to locate the form 1099-MISC.

Do you need to issue a 1099Misc or the new 1099NEC fir people you pay?

In the Window's Home & Business Desktop program to Prepare W2s or 1099s, on the first main screen there are 3 ways to start. Either click on the blue button Start a New Return or at the bottom click on Create 1099/W-2 or go up to File-New Tax Return.

If you click on the blue Create 1099/W-2 button you will get a box to Create employer forms using Quick Employer Forms OR you can pick Create forms on Desktop at the bottom.

1. Launch TurboTax Desktop (applicable to TurboTax Business and Home & Business also).
2. Select File from the top menu.
3. Select Create 1099s/W-2s.
