Why won't my box 1 number verify, when it matches exactly. It won't let me move forward.

Box 1 of which form or schedule?  No one can see your tax return or know where you are in the TurboTax program.

box 1 of my w2 right at the beginning of the import option.

Box 1 on the W-2 you received from your employer has to match the amount in box 1 of the imported W-2.  This could be just an issue with the import verification procedure or the amount on the imported box 1 cannot be read properly.

Enter the W-2 manually.
