Why is turbo tax showing my standard deduction to be $30,707 when it should be 30,700 (27,700 plus 1500 for me as a senior and plus 1500 for my wife as a senior).

Look at your tax return, Form 1040 Line 12 it will have the Standard Deduction for your Filing Status at $30,700 or the itemized deductions you entered are $7 more than your standard deduction so the itemized deductions are being used.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
