Why is 1099-R income showing on Line 7 for Wages, salaries, etc?

Perhaps you retired on disability. If this is the case, your retirement plan distribution is taxed as wages until you reach the minimum retirement age. Your 1099-R will have code "3" in box 7 to indicate that you retired on disability.
