why does TurboTax mess up the tax paid when filing? this is 2 years in a row the IRS has sent a CP14 to me - but both were paid at filing time with a CC..

both years the transation shows from back account before the sud date. why is this payment not listed anywhere in turbotax?

Please see I got a CP14 notice from the IRS for steps you can take to reply to the IRS notice.  I recommend having a copy of your credit card statement available so you can send them any pertinent information to match your payment with your IRS account.

Maybe you only paid the Turbo Tax fees by credit card.  

Your only proof of payment is your bank statement or credit card showing the payment coming out.  Turbo Tax only passes your bank account number to the IRS or state for them to take it out of your account.
