Should I avoid buying TurboTax live through retailers like Amazon and Costco, and instead, buy direct from Intuit?
All the negative reviews were from people who wanted to upload the prior years' tax data from the PC. Below is a comment from someone leaving a 1 star rating on Costco.
"...discovered by at least one other customer, you CANNOT upload prior year info if you purchase this through Costco. If you activate the key you get, you will never be able to upload which involves "clear and start over". You won't be able to do that because you activated your key. If you DON'T activate your key, you won't be able to GET to the place where you would upload. So, Catch-22. If you really want the Online version and used Desktop last year, unfortunately, you have to get it direct from Turbo Tax"
