Why does the 2025 Form 5329 have “DO NOT USE” printed in red?

Hi, today is 1/28/2026. 

I'm using Turbotax premier desktop for Windows. Why does the 2025 Form 5329 have “DO NOT USE” printed in red on the upper right hand corner?

Please help. Thank you.

Form 5695 for Home Energy Credits has not yet been finalized for the TurboTax Desktop editions. That's why the form is stamped "DO NOT USE." The updated form may be available sometime next week. We aren't given an exact date for the software release. Be sure to agree to updates each time you restart TurboTax.

The Form 5329, Additional Taxes on Qualified Plans (including IRAs) and Other Tax-Favored Accounts has been finalized and is available in the TurboTax desktop editions with the software update today, 01/29

Update your software to the latest release, click on Online at the top of the desktop program screen then click on Check for Updates
