Why does my form say I'm not a US citizen?

I've lived in Oklahoma all my life but my form says I'm not a us citizen?

What form are you referring to that indicates you are not a US citizen?  Please describe.

The 'Sales Tax Credit 

It says I do not qualify for sales tax for the following reasons:

"You were not a US citizen or legal resident"

I suspect that you answered something incorrectly in MY INFO.  Go back to MY INFO, click your name and go through all of those screens very carefully.   Watch for any questions that pertain to being a citizen or a resident alien, etc.

You will need to go back to My Info and edit your personal information.  There will be a screen that will have the box checked for you being a nonresident.  Uncheck that box and check None of these Apply.

If you're using TurboTax Online:

Once you're logged in to your account,

- on the left hand panel, click on Tax Tools and then choose Tools

- on the pop up window, select Share my file with Agent

- you'll see a message saying you'll give us a copy of your tax return. Your personal information will be changed so we can't see any private information.

- click okay and you'll get another message with a token

If you're using TurboTax Desktop:

• Click on Online in the top menu of TurboTax Desktop for Windows
• Select 'Send Tax File to Agent'
• Write down or send an image of your token number and state then place in this issue.
• We can then review your exact scenario for a solution

Please reply to this message with your token so that we can further assist you. Let us know all other states, if any, that are included on the return.

I am having the same issue for oklahoma. It says I dont qualify for for the sales tax rebate due to no being a US citizen.

having the same issue as many others for the Oklahoma sales tax refund.

I went through the personal information and i have us resident and my county entered.

When you are going through your Oklahoma return, you will get to the Sales Tax Credit screen.  That screen states to check all of the 4 items that apply.  You also need to check the 2nd box down that says You were a US citizen or legal resident (visa holders are not considered legal residents).  Once you click that and progress through the screens you will get a screen Sales Tax Credit Amount that will give you the amount of the sales tax credit you qualify for.
