You are posting from the online Deluxe version which is not free. If you were required to upgrade in order to enter something on one of the 6 new schedules 1-6, then there is no way around having to pay for the upgrade.

You qualify if you had $34,000 or less AGI or $66,000 or less military family AGI or qualify for EITC. Click on See if you qualify then Yes (if you do) then Start Now button, then choose Create an Account.

TurboTax Free Edition is an online-only product that supports simple tax returns that can be filed on Form 1040 without any attached schedules.  Please see the TurboTax FAQ below for more information: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3334660

Since you are using TurboTax Deluxe to file your tax return, that version is not free and you would have to pay. You can check to see if you qualify for the free file program below.
