Why didn't I recieve a stimulus check for my 18 year old son?

I claimed him in 2019. Neither of us received a stimulus check for him either time.

A dependent child age 17 or older is not eligible for a stimulus payment.

Sorry, dependents have to be under 17 to get the Stimulus Check.

Then shouldn't he have gotten the check himself?

Not if he qualified to be someone's dependent. Sorry.
