Why did my AGI from 2017 transfer wrong to 2018

The 2018 tax return pulled information from my 2017 tax return that hadn't been filed instead of the 2017 file that was transmitted to IRS. This caused the income summary sheet in 2018 to have the wrong amount of income. Can the 2018 income summary be corrected so my history report for 2019 will have the corrected AGI for 2017.

2 possible reasons ... 

1) you transferred in from the wrong saved file

3) you adulterated the file after you filed it last year so the info is not correct

Can this be fixed ? Depends on what went wrong ... start over and ...

If 1)  find the correct file to transfer 

If 2) open the old return in the 2017 program and undo the changes you made

I have already filed by 2018 tax returned and don't want to import the correct file because it might change my 2018 tax return.  Can I make a manual change to the tax summary sheet in 2018

No you cannot.

Sorry ... you are using the downloaded version ... so switch to the FORMS mode and see if the changes can be done.
