It is too early. Check back in mid to late March for the extension request.
You can. In TurboTax Online
You cannot e-file a Form 4868 extension request using TurboTax until later in March.
Go to this Easy Extension website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/irs-tax-extensions/
If you would prefer to file an extension now you will need to print and mail the Form 4868 to the IRS.
Go to this IRS website for the Form 4868 - https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4868.pdf

Another option for filing the Federal extension request now is to do so directly online at the IRS website.
NOTE: The info in this posting is for a Federal extension. If you also need a state extension, check with your state tax agency about their rules and requirements, or see this FAQ:
FAQ: How do I file an extension for personal state taxes?
For a Federal extension it's easy to file a Form 4868 without any paperwork at the IRS website just by using Direct Pay for your tax payment and marking the "reason for payment" as an extension and selecting "Form 4868." (see the 2 images below.)
You can pay from your bank account for free, or you can pay by credit/debit card, but be aware there are processing fees when paying by card, which can be hefty for credit cards. If you go this route, be sure to print out your confirmation at the end of the payment process. It will document you timely filed your Form 4868 extension request. In a few days you should also see the payment record show up in your IRS account, if you have one.
And don't forget to enter the extension payment into your return prior to filing so you get credit for it.

The IRS Direct Pay info I left above is only for a Federal extension. I have now added more info to my comment above about getting state extensions, if applicable and needed.
