Why am I being charged if I bought the $69 version with free state filing

If you purchased the TurboTax Deluxe desktop CD/Download edition or higher from TurboTax then there is one free state program download included in the purchase price. There is Not one free state tax return e-file included. The current charge of $24.99 is to e-file a state tax return. This charge can be avoided by printing and mailing the state tax return.
Got it. Thank you.
I purchase premium turbo tax from Amazon which said included one free state filling but was charged $24.99 no free state this is wrong was advertised as an Amazon special
I paid for the $69 version that is supposed to include a one-time state efile for free and now that I am trying to submit, it wants to charge me $24!!! I have never used my one time state efile. I want a refund!
READ the fine print ... it includes one free state program DOWNLOAD but there has always been a fee to efile the state return ... you can print, ink sign and mail in the state for free if you like.
This is what the box looks like ... it specifies fed efile but not the state ...
There is a lot of confusion about this. For the Desktop version it's a free download of one state PROGRAM, not returns filed. You can prepare unlimited federal and unlimited state returns. Some people need to file in more than one state so they have to buy another state program. You can print and mail the state for free or each state is 19.99 early or 24.99 to efile. If you buy the cd at the store the Basic version does not include the state. And Deluxe is available both with and without the state. Because some states don't have an income tax.
The State has a fee to efile but it is free to print and mail unlimited returns. And to have the fee deducted from your federal refund is an EXTRA 39.99 Refund Transfer fee. Or you can use a credit card and avoid the extra charge.
Box or online description says Federal Returns + Federal E-File + State returns. It does not say state efiling is included. It also says on the back on my CD case in the chart comparing the versions.....
1 state product via download (print free or efile for $19.99 each) prices subject to change without notice.
This is truly a bait and switch rip-off on turbo taxes behalf. I paid extra to get the State included and now you say that was for the download only and not for the e-file. This is plain deceptive!!
How did you pay extra to get the state? You get a free state program download with Deluxe and above. Or did you buy a second different state?
I will stand with my original comment, this is deceptive. The box should state that eFile for State is $24.99 vs. Free State Download. Who is getting this $ anyway? It is far more accurate to eFile and I am sure the State prefers it over paper filing. It certainly doesn't cost $25.00 to transfer the file since the State has already invested in supporting eFile.
I live in SC and work in NC. I don't file anything in SC because I have no income in the state. I paid the $40 to download NC. Does that sound right?
WHAT A RIPOFF! I GOT NO OPTION TO PRINT MY RETURN AND SAVE $69 F N DOLLARS! THIS IS THE END OF INTUIT TURBO TAX FOR ME AND I WILL PROBABLY DISPUTE THE CHARGE ON MY CREDIT CARD IF I GET NO HELP FROM THE COMPANY
If you ordered the Basic software Version of Turbo tax, there is a section where you can print your return. Look at the top of your return and along the black stripe. At the hand side of the top, select print center. Here you have an opportunity to print your copy of your return.
