Who the hell is TPG and why is my tax return short $800??

Did you request to have the TT fees paid from your Federal refund? TPG handles that, and then sends you the balance.  You will get a letter in the mail from the IRS explaining why the refund is different than you expected.  Neither TT nor TPG is told why.

I did but the amount quoted was 150, which was deducted in addition to another $800.  Which was never quoted by anyone.  I will file a CFPB complaint.

As mentioned above by SweetieJean, the IRS will send an explanatory letter regarding the change in the refund amount.

That is literally hilarious. Waiting 2 hours on the phone each time to be continuously lied to? I got my notice from the IRS & I haven’t even gotten my refund. Particularly because SBTPG is a disgusting group of people who have actually been scamming thousands. This is not a matter of the IRS, but turbo tax & its third party not even being connected. There is no help.

I am 2200 short in my refund who the hell is TPG I am so mad and too tied of getting ripped off first SS now TPG stole money from me how is this even legal  right now on line it shows there are we'll over 20. million law suites filled against this company

I will NEVER use Turbo tax again! I opted for a paper check they sent my money to their third party bank (Santa Barbra tax products group TPG) its been I year and 4 months and I still haven't seen a penny of my money. Santa Barbra places you on hold for hours then disconnects your call. turbo tax has extremely rude and unknowledgeable employees. I am a male and one of their employees legit asked me additional security questions and laughed, when I asked why he was laughing he then said " so your Jeffrey?" I said yes... He laughed a again and said "you just don't sound like a Jeffrey." This was also a MANAGER i asked to speak to then after getting no help but being insulted he hung up on me.

It would be necessary to contact TPG for additional information. They are the one who handles your refund if you choose to pay your fees with your refund. Please see this website for contact information: TPG. There is also a blue "Submit a request" button where you can provide your information and describe the issue.

Hi Monique. 

This is new, I was not aware that my information was being given to another company for processing.  Also when I contact Turbotax no one knows what I'm talking about.  I will not use Turbotax again and am filing public complaint with FTC

On hold for 1.5 hours nothing. Have stolen $500. Three calls to TurboTax, disconnected 3 x, no call back. I think TurboTax planning on going out of business. I cannot believe how many people are getting ripped off. Department of Justice will be involved

As if that wasn't bad enough.. I check my bank account this morning and for some reason the IRS took 3800 out of my account when I didn't owe anything!

Soooo... when I try to log on to the TPG site they have absolutely no record of me.  I have literally been robbed by these people.  I guess I have to change my bank account to make sure they cannot take any more money from me.

It's all a scam I promise you! The number for SBTPG is automated only. When they ask for your social security number it tells you that they don't recognize it so your screwed on ever getting thru to anybody.
