I'm attempting to pay my taxes - I've got my checkbook open - but I have no idea who to make the check out to. I'm using form 4868. Any idea?

It's too late to file an extension but it says...
When paying by check or money order with Form 4868, use the appropriate address in the middle column under Where To File a Paper Form 4868, later.
• Make your check or money order payable to “United States Treasury.” Don’t send cash.
Or pay directly online at
Extension was filed on May 17, 2021. Also, I have no idea WHERE to send the $2410 So, I need 1) Who to write the check to and 2) WHERE to send the check.
Egad. The link is bad. I know there's a deadline for sending in this money - for some reason I cannot find that information.
Try this one, maybe the first one didn't copy right.
Hmmm.... that link doesn't have a drop down list for form 4868 and for year 2020. Weird how I can't just send them the money I owe. I remember there was a time limit sometime in June - and for some weird reason I can't find this critical date. I feel very stressed out right now. Need to hire a CPA.
The photo I posted isn't showing - adding to the stress.
When all else fails look at the form with instructions ... always make the fed payment to "UNITED STATES TREASURY" and mail to the correct address depending on where you live ... https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4868.pdf
If you have already filed the return then you should use the payment voucher instead : https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-1040-v
Of course you can pay directly online as well : https://www.irs.gov/payments
I believe I filed for an extension, but didn't pay all the vouchers from 2020. Need address to send this check - otherwise I'll have to send this check to some random address and cross my fingers.
Wait. Doesn't TurboTax have some sort of online CPA that you can hire? Maybe they know where to send the check.
Here's places where to mail different forms
Where to mail federal paper returns
https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment
Where to mail a 1040V voucher payment
https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040v.pdf
Where to mail form 4868 Extension on page 4
https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4868.pdf
What "vouchers" do you have? If you got more than 1 it is probable not for the tax due. Do you have the payment slip? Is it a 1040V or 1040ES?
You better check if you just filed an extension or filed the actual tax return.
You can check your efile status here,
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup
When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.
When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?
I lost my vouchers - so I don't really remember if it was a V or ES. I didn't file my 2020 taxes - I filed for an extension. I didn't pay all of the 2020 vouchers - this is what the $2410 is all about (past voucher not paid). Have absolutely no idea how to send the $2410 to the IRS but it is my understanding that it is very urgent to send this money otherwise I'll have huge fines. (I owe roughly $18k in taxes to the IRS for 2020 - which is why I took the extension - I'm broke at the moment). Yeah, anyway, does TurboTax have some type of online CPA I can hire? Perhaps they know how to send this $2410 to the IRS.
Sounds like you had the 4 quarterly estimated payments to pay in 2020? It's too late to send in an estimated payment. Probably pay it using a 1040V for tax due on 2020. Just pay it online and select Balance Due on 1040.
Yeah, I had four vouchers to pay. I tried to pay online but that didn't work. Not sure why. Searching for a magic CPA now.
