Im trying to figure out where to add a laptop expense as self employed business. It cost less than $500. When I go to depreciation section, it asks if item cost less than $2500 and I say yes and answer all the questions and it just kicks me out and takes me back to the main expense headings. Where do I claim this expense please?

You can enter it as a Other Misc Exp on schedule C line 27a (from Part V Other Expenses)
So it is no longer an asset that is claimed for annual Depreciation? My husband wrote off a drill (cost, under $300) l and it appears to have been entered under Depreciation and claimed in its entirety in its first year.
