Where is my stimulus package I didn't get the first one or I didn't get the second one

Why am I not getting one. My wife and I are unmployed because of covid. I think it's silly that millions of people are getting some support and I'm getting nothing

I am very sorry to hear of your problems.

• If you need to file a tax return for 2020, you can claim the stimulus on your tax return.
• If you do not need to file a return, we are waiting for guidance from the IRS to see if they will open a portal, like for the first stimulus- which is now closed.

The current guidance is to file a 2020 return. The IRS does not open until January 28, maybe there will be more information before then. Otherwise, filing a 2020 return will be your option.

Your 2020 tax return is your last chance to let the IRS know you are eligible for the EIP#1 and EIP#2.

IRS is opening for e-FILE on Feb 12th now.

Try not to mail a paper return.
