If you have an Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN), this needs to be entered in a separate spot.
To enter an IP PIN, please follow the instructions below.
1. Click on Federal Taxes (Personal, if using Home & Business)
2. Click on Other Tax Situations
3. Click on Start/Edit/Update next to Identity Protection PIN under Other Return Info category
4. Indicate that yes, you received an IP PIN
5. Enter in your IP PIN as issued by the IRS
