Where do I put "deceased" and date of death?

What box/section do I record my father's death and date of death

Under "Personal Info" tab, on the second screen is a checkbox, "Passed away before filing this return."  If you check this box, a section opens up to enter the date.

In the Online version, this can be found under My Info.

Log into TurboTax

1. Select My Info from the Left Sidebar
2. On the right side of the persons name click the arrow
3. Select [Revisit]
4. Post or [Continue] through the Personal Information
5. Enter the Social Security Number [Continue]
6. Let's check for some other situations
7. Select 
8. [X] I am preparing this return for XXXX, who has passed away.
9. [Continue] to end of interview
