Where and how do I enter my IP PIN? I did not see anywhere I was asked for it.

My return was rejected due to someone else using my dependent's SSN. I have an IP PIN now but I do not know where to enter is so I can continue to file my federal return.

If you have a 6 digit PIN issued to you by the IRS you need to enter it in order to e-file.  Go to Federal>Other Tax Situations>Other Return Info>Identity Protection PIN and enter the six-digit PIN.

I am needing to enter my child's IP PIN. Where do I enter it in the turbo tax software? The software did not ask for it when following steps.

To enter, edit or delete a 6 digit IP PIN

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Return Info
On Identity Protection PIN, click the start button
