When will you pay me back for twice payment for 2019 tax prep?

This is mainly a user community forum, but we can tell you how to reach the folks at Customer Support.

Was your credit card or bank account charged twice?    Here's how to phone TurboTax Support so you can inform them.

Hours are 5AM-5PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern) Monday-Friday.

FAQ: What is the TurboTax phone number?

Or could it be the following scenario?

Did you originally choose to pay your TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund, and if so, was the refund either delayed a long time at the IRS, or did the IRS reduce your refund to the point where it no longer covered the fees?   In either of those 2 scenarios, TurboTax would want to be paid. They start by sending emails with a bill to pay the fees. If not paid, then they email you that they will debit your bank account if not paid. If still not paid, then they send an email saying the debit will occur. If arrangements are not made immediately at that point to either pay or request a deferment, then they perform the debit.

I paid twice for my 2021 tax prep in error.  How do I get a refund for one of the payments.

Did you use the TurboTax Deluxe online edition at $39?  If so, and you added a state tax return that is an additional $39.  Or did you request to have the TurboTax account fees paid from the federal tax refund, the service charge for that optional service is $39.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for checking your fees - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/charges-and-fees/help/how-do-i-review-my-fees-in-turbotax-online/0...

When will you pay me back for twice payment for 2019 tax prep?

I actually have two accounts and didn't realize I was on the wrong one until I was paying and didn't finish that return.  I went back into my other account and finished the return and paid for that one not realizing that I was already charged for the other return not filed.  Hope that makes since.

So you paid for two TurboTax accounts and actually only used one to file your tax return?

If that is the case then you need contact TurboTax support and speak with an agent.  Use the key words Billing Issue
