What are you doing? Do you need to report a 1099-MISC for income you received, or do you have a small business that needs to prepare a 1099-MISC to present to someone?
If you are self-employed as a small Schedule C business, such as an independent contractor, normally non-employee compensation would be on a 1099-NEC. If you received a 1099-MISC from someone, what box is the income in?
Yes report 1099 miscellaneous for income I received
Do you have a Schedule C (self-employed) business, independent contractor, sole proprietor, etc.? If so, I'm confused why it's a 1099-MISC. You didn't answer the question above about what box of your Form 1099-MISC has income shown.
