When I try to report self-employment income, the page is stuck at "What kind of work did you do for [person]?" There aren't options to select. What do I do?

If I try clicking continue, I am told to make a selection, even there are no selections available.

Try changing the work description and see whether you get different options to select. TurboTax asks what type of work you do to search for common deductions and expenses for that type of work.

I can't even get to this screen. All it does is ask what kind of work I did for somebody (who I selected at the beginning of the process as somebody who paid me both this year and last year), without any options whatsoever to select.

Here's what happens. I click "Start" and then I'm immediately prompted with this question, to which there is nothing I can select. When I click continue it tells me to make a selection.

In your situation, it is recommended that you first log out of your TurboTax Online and delete your cookies. For more information on how to delete your cookies on the browser you are using, please see How do I delete cookies?.

Once that is completed, try reentering your self-employment information. 

Please follow these steps in TurboTax to get back to your Schedule C:

1. Open your return.
2. Search for Schedule C with the magnifying glass tool on the top of the page.
3. Select the Jump to Schedule C link in the search results.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your information.
