When can I file for my next tax return?

Tax year 2019 does not complete until after 12/31/2019.

The 2019 tax returns can only be filed after January 1, 2020.

TurboTax 2019 software for the desktop editions should be available in mid-November 2019. The TurboTax 2019 online editions should be available sometime in December 2019.

The IRS has not announced when the 2019 filing season will open - last year it was towards the end of January. (It often depends if Congress makes any last minute tax law changes that require the IRS to revise forms).
