What are you really trying to ask? The tax returns that are being prepared using the current online software are for 2019---the tax year that ended on December 31, 2019. Next year, in early 2021, you will be able to prepare a tax return for 2020. You prepare a tax return for a tax year AFTER the tax year is over.

The Turbo Tax Online version is only for 2019 tax returns, for the year ending December 31, 2019. You can use it and file until Oct 15, 2020. Do you need to file a different year? To do a prior year you have to buy and install the Desktop program here
