If they are not a dependent on someone else’s return it’s 10,400.

What is the maximum amount of money a single person can make before they have to file taxes
As a single person you need to file if you had at least $400 in net earnings from self-employment (income minus expenses) or you had marketplace health insurance and received advanced payments for the premium tax credit.
You are required to file a tax return if your gross income was:
Under age 65 at least $10,350
Over age 65 at least $11,900
