What is it meaning when it asks me about an explanation of PYE?

PYE Explanation is an explanation statement on Form 2441, Child and Dependent Care. It is used to explain the prior year credit computation for 2015 care paid in 2016 This explanation statement is triggered when you are in the Federal Taxes> Deductions & Credits> Child and Dependent Care section and have answered "Yes" to the question: "Did you pay for any 2015 care in 2016"(this is not a common situation).

If you did not pay 2015 child and dependent care expenses in 2016, you will need to revisit and change your answer to "No"
