Just tried to efile again --- same issue .... Beyond frustrating -- I'm losing (lost) my patience.
Try closing TurboTax, clear your Cache and Cookies if you are using TurboTax Online, and reopen TurboTax. You can also try a different browser.
Also, make sure you have ran all updates.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop, check for updates under the Online Tab.
Thank you -- I did all of your suggestions (yet again - same thing I've done each time) and still the same issue. Not sure why this year's so bad compared to previous years.

2/18 here and I keep having the same issue. Desktop version, so cookies and cache are unrelated. I update TT before trying every d*mn day. NY State and Federal both give me the following:
When you get a message stating TurboTax is not ready to efile or Transmission are not available, it means that the Tax forms are not ready.
Either the IRS or State has not finalized certain forms and your tax return cannot be e-filed until they are finalized and ready to be submitted.
You can check form availability here: Tax form availability tool.

Linda the link you provided only covers 1040 forms. In my case I cannot transmit my 1020 S. Do you know of a link that checks for those forms?
I think I saw something fly by somewhere that the IRS is still working on table 3800. My concern is that I need to file taxes by 15 March and if I can't fail by that time I can't request an extension electronically?
The above link is correct, you just need to select TurboTax Desktop on the top right.
Looks like Form 3800 will not be available until 3.1.2024.
this is not resolved. It's Feb 27th and this error is still happening. I have a corp filing deadline in two weeks and a requirement to e-file. If this issue is not fixed immediately, I can expect TurboTax will handle all liability going forward, correct?

It's 2/29 and I'm still getting this error message when trying to amend my returns. What to do besides clearing cache & cookies?
This is scheduled to be fixed with the February 29 update. The updates generally happen at night. It should be available by tomorrow.
This is brutal!! The files I need updated for efiling keep changing their availability date ... it's gone from 2/24 to 3/1 and now to 3/8. Did Intuit get hacked? Not hire enough programmers? I'll give it a week and then will have to snail mail everything. Who should we send the bill to for all of the extra time / headache trying to efile (I'm sure that I'm not the only one dealing with this)?
As someone in software I do believe it is a problem of a) software that is difficult to change, b) cheap programmers who don't understand the context of what they are doing and c) product who also don't understand the products context well enough.
But that's just my speculation and to be frank the industry is rife with those problems.
I am going out the country for 2 weeks and won't be back until March 16th. I needed to file my taxes now! This is crazy!
