Were you claimed on someone else's return? If you can be claimed as a dependent go to My Info, Click Edit by your name and scroll down to #3

i should not be on anyones as a dependent

Then someone else must have accidentally claimed you or someone entered their ssn wrong and got yours by mistake. You will have to mail your return this year and the IRS will investigate.
