Why can't I import my W2 (might be too early)

First, whatever you do, do NOT file on the basis of any paystubs. The W-2 often has more info on it or something may have been revised.
Some companies are import partners with TurboTax, but many are not. If TurboTax can import from your company, it will tell you when you enter the employer EIN. Here is a list of import partners, but it may not be complete, and additional companies may be added at any time. If your company uses a payroll provider, also look under that name.

Even when importing a W-2 into TurboTax, it may require an employee have an actual copy of the W-2 to reference in order to verify some info for ID purposes. See this FAQ:
Some companies and payroll providers also provide their own web portal for people to download their W-2's, once available. Ask your manager or human resources if your company does.
For most companies it's still way early for W-2's to be available. Companies have until January 31 to provide employees a W-2. Again, your manager or human resources can likely tell you when they hope to have their W-2's ready for employees.
Also, while it's technically possible to do so, it's too early to be filing a return. Efile has not yet opened up at the IRS, and will not until the last week of January. Any return efiled now will just sit on TurboTax servers until the IRS opens up in late January, except for a very few returns that the IRS pulls early for testing purposes. And it cannot be retrieved if an error is discovered, which would require one to later amend the return, which is a hassle and delays any refund for weeks or months. Each year we see many people who end up with problems because they efiled in early January prior to the IRS opening.
