Using 2023 desktop software for Windows. I normally don't even have my computer connected to the Internet unless I want to "check for updates."
I notice in the top menubar, if one clicks on the File tab, in the menu are choices to Save, Save as a PDF, Efile status, etc. One of the options says "Sign In." What is that for? Why would someone need to sign in while using the desktop product that's already installed and what happens? Is it recommended to use that option, and for what purpose?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
I don't think we know what that does.
Oh so you are not signed in? Some people aren't. My notes say.....
Yes, the Desktop software signed you in to the Intuit Account that is shown. You can sign out if you want, but you will need to sign in again to e-file, update, or install states.
