Using CD version to do sons taxes

I am doing my independent sons taxes and was going to pay for his taxes owed.  It is a small amount, less than $1000.  Is that ok?  What date of birth do I put in for the Signature when doing E-File?
Thanks

It is your son's tax return.  You use his date of birth.  His date of birth was entered in My Info.  Your name/information  is not gong anywhere on your son's return.  It will show as "Self-Prepared."

Yes it is okay to pay the amount due.  You put in your sons date of birth since it is his return.

Thank you for your answers.

I did not see anywhere it asks for my name when filling out the direct deposit form.  Will the bank kick it back if the transfer uses my sons name but my account information?

Thanks!

No, it shouldn't.  But that would depend on your bank.
