Using 2023 Turbo Tax software to file 2024 tax return

I want to go back to using my 2023 TurboTax package again to file my 2024 taxes... but the only option available to me in the online interface is "Start my 2023 return." Does 2023 Turbo Tax allow to file a 2024 tax return?

You cannot use 2023 TT program to file 2024 taxes. You need to use 2024 program to file 2024 taxes. Each year changes are made to the tax code as reflected in the current years program. If you were to use the prior year program you would not reflect these changes and you return would be incorrect.

Sorry you need to buy a new program each year.    For 2024 you can either use the Online web version or buy the Desktop download.  Sounds like you used the Desktop program last year?

And what did you mean  " the only option available to me in the online interface...."  What is the online interface?  The Desktop program is only on your computer, there is no online interface.
