Cannot find out how to pay the $39.99 for an additional state

Use the desktop editions, with the program opened, click on Online at the top of the program screen.  Click on Download State and follow the prompts.  You will be asked for a credit card number to pay for the state program.

Is your desktop program up to date?  Click on Online at the top of the screen.  Click on Check for updates.
If the program is at the latest release then you will need to contact TurboTax support for assistance in getting the state program you need.
