With all the issues mentioned going on with USAA and their recent lowering of the cash back from the great 2.5% to only 1.5% now, I think it’s time to switch. I’ll be going to the citi double cash back for credit card. Likely will look into banking options as well for my savings and everyday checking (direct deposit) maybe too.
It doesn't help. I deleted my USAA account and re-added. Same problem!
Good afternoon, Everyone --
Not sure this was mentioned, but Intuit's Simplifi has the USAA connection listed as a "known issue" -- link below. Sounds like USAA changed their account connection API in Sep/Oct timeframe. Perhaps Simplifi and Mint use the same interface?
p.s. Personal Capital has the same issue:
I switched all my recurring payments from USAA to my new Sofi credit card. It was a good run from 2014 to 2022. I'll switch checking accounts next if that decides to break on Mint.
Yep. Same for me. Looking to remove Mint and find something else. Been too many months and has really messed up our budget visibility.
Has anyone identified any Mint like application that plays nice with USAA credit cards?
My USAA account is now not updating at all with Mint. Is anyone else having this issue?
None of my USAA accounts update since early September. Nor does my Stifel Nicholas account update. I've talked to both USAA and Mint with no success. Mint is useless without these accounts.
I have the very same issue, all other accounts at USAA downloading but not credit card. I was also using another Personal Financial tool and I had the same problem that is why I switched to Mint However the problem persists.
This is happening to me. I’m not changing banks, so this will make Mint unusable for me.
Same here. Not changing banks. Just going to slowly transition to something else besides MINT. Not sure what but I am looking around now
Good luck to both of you since you are going to have a difficult time finding a free budgeting tool. If you find one that works with USAA credit card data let us all know. Since most free tools are going to use screen scraping for the data due to the ease of implementation and the minimal maintenance when a source changes their data layout without notification.
People need to stop blaming Mint for breaking the USAA credit card data import. USAA made the change and didn't tell anyone (especially their members), that is why Mint doesn't have any data.
Am I supposed to drop Fidelity Investments because they can no longer import USAA credit card data into their budgeting tool? I was using that as a backup and to check Mint's data accuracy. Fidelity hasn't worked due to the same USAA change.
It has actually been months and this problem still has not been fixed. MONTHS!
@Polerjn complaining to the wrong site. USAA caused the problem and could fix it immediately by backing out their untested website update.
Instead after months of USAA customer cases and complaints they finally acknowledge the problem was caused by their website update and now they want Mint and all the other financial tools to incorporate the USAA changes and stop using screen scraping.
These complaints should be on the USAA community.
People who blame the light switch manufacturer for a city wide power outage, need to look at the bigger picture for the actual cause.
IMHO, your opinion is flawed. USAA has a right to protect its data any way it wants and change it anytime it sees fit. It is Mint who wishes to access the USAA information and therefore is Mint's obligation to adapt whenever the source changes the API or format.
Imagine if software vendors and systems integrators that build upon enterprise software like SAP, for example, blamed SAP for breaking things whenever SAP made a change.
Disappointed in Intuit and Mint for not keeping up... but you pay for what you get. Free is free. The ads were barely worth it. Not having USAA connectivity for months, well I guess I need a new solution in 2023.
