Yes, you can switch to TurboTax Online. For more information, see: How do I switch from TurboTax CD/Download to TurboTax Online?
You can use the TurboTax CD/Download on up to five devices, however this would not apply if you switch to the Online Product without purchasing it separately. See: How many returns can I e-file in the TurboTax CD/Download software?
Yes, you can have TurboTax review your tax return before you file if it is in scope. Check this link to verify your return could be reviewed: What is TurboTax Live with Full Service?
I'm unable to upload my W-2 from my computer. Help!
If you cannot upload your W-2 from your computer, you can type the information in yourself.
The question: "I have downloaded a copy of home and business. Can I upload my file to Turbo Tax online?"
The answer (replied): "Yes, you can switch to TurboTax Online."
The answer (from link provided): "You can't transfer your current year return"
Am I missing something? Seems like that would actually be a big NO. Thanks.
The most recently updated official FAQ (Intuit supplied Frequently-Asked-Question) database states that the upload from a desktop "*.tax20**" file must be the prior year version data from the desktop product when uploading to the current 2022 Online service offering:

For your case, if already using 2022 CD Desktop, this response from TurboTax may not be the answer you are seeking but if you are truly starting afresh with different data, even just the core data from last year, this may work for you
I have already downloaded all my W2's 1099s etc to my own computer's drive. Now when Turbo Tax offers to Upload a Form, I want to give it the location on my own computer. But it seems incapable of doing that. It asks only for the ID of the issuer of the W2. I provide that number and the Turbo Tax software still stalls. Dead in the water. Any advice? Thanks.
