If I am in EasyStep and a double-click on the "Tax Summary" icon in the ribbon of icons at the top it is supposed to show me my Federal and State tax summary. What it is showing on my MacOS macmini is a little heart at the upper left of the dropdown window with a grey background. If I scroll down it will display my state taxes but it is hard to read as it is displayed in light text on a grey background. It does not display the Federal tax summary at all. However, if I go into Forms and choose "Tax Summary" from there, it does display correctly.

I just looked at Tax Summary for a sample return on my Mac Book Air and got the same result (gray screen for the Federal summary only), except that I don't see a "heart" on the gray display. I am reporting the issue.
Have you encountered any other issues?
In order for us to troubleshoot this issue, you can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions for TurboTax Desktop for Mac users:
I'm having the same issue on a Macbook Pro running Sequoia.
When I use the TT menu bar/Window/Tax Summary get
a greyed out view of the fed summary. Scroll down and get a clear view of the state summary. I see a heart on the title bar of the fed summary.
I am having the same issue on my Mac mini with Mac OS Sequoia 15.2. I do not see any blue heart at the top of the box. I am using TurboTax Home & Business.
Could you let us know when this gets resolved?
I have reported the issue and it is under investigation as of 1-29-25. We will post any update received.
I am able to see the Tax Summary from the top Tools menu in TurboTax Desktop Deluxe for Windows.
When using TurboTax Desktop for Mac, I see the Federal Tax Summary grayed out but the State visible using the top Tools menu. When in Forms mode, the correct Federal Tax Summary is accessible from the left side Forms list. This can be used as a workaround while we investigate the issue.
I also experienced this issue since and update in late December and still do while running Mac OS 15.3.1 and despite latest update today for TurboTax Home & Business.
On returns with two states, the Tax Summary pop up window is grayed out over for the Federal summary at the top and the first state summary next below, while correctly displaying only the final state at the bottom.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling according to TurboTax support instructions without success.
Thank you for escalating this issue for a fix. Please advise.
I don't have an update as yet. Thanks for adding your experience.
When in Forms mode, you should be able to view the correct Federal Tax Summary from the left side Forms list. This can be used as a workaround while we investigate the issue.
Unfortunately, this issue remains as of the latest software releases to date.
For returns with multiple states, the Tax Summary pop-up window only shows the state closest to the bottom of the pop-up window. All state and Federal summaries above the bottom-most state are completely greyed out. The issue starts when the first state is added and it does not appear to matter which state is added first. Uninstalling and reinstalling software per Intuit's support page instructions does not fix the issue.
Please note, this defect arose in late December when Intuit began to release software for state returns. The issue was initially raised to Intuit in early January. Where is Intuit support/engineering on this? The lack of support certainly tests confidence in the product and brand loyalty. Please let us know, what steps, if any, are being taken to make a repair.
Thank you for your attention.
Currently we have a workaround for this situation:
If you access the Tax Summary from the left side list of forms, instead of from the top menu bar, the Federal Tax Summary does display correctly. It's only accessing it from the top menu bar that causes the Federal summary to be grayed out.
Unfortunately, this "workaround", which is common knowledge, does not address the case when there are more multiple state returns, but only the bottom-most return is displayed in the Tax Summary Window while the Federal and state returns above the bottom-most state return are covered by a grey block. There is no "workaround" to separately display a tax summary window for state returns as you referenced for the Federal return.
Please let us know whether Intuit is going to put any effort into repairing this bug.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
We have referred the issue for further investigation. I am adding that the Mac product doesn't separately display the state Tax Summary or Return Summary in Forms mode.
Please let us know which state returns you are using.

The problem occurs when the first state return is added to a Federal return. The problem has been specifically cited on state returns for Connecticut, New York, Ohio, Virginia. There may be others.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
I was just informed that the repair for this issue will be done by the end of this week. I suggest running updates on Monday and checking to see if the Tax Summary appears correctly.
