Please follow the instructions here to perform a manual update on the software if using desktop.
If using online, please try to clear the cache on your browser and try again.
The stand-alone update works fine. Unfortunately, when you start up Turbotax again, it's says an update is needed and fails.
If the issue persists after the manual update, you may try uninstalling and reinstalling the software; this can be done by following the steps in the resources below. Please note that by doing this, you will not have to re-enter all your tax data; it will still be stored separately in your documents (should be a .tax2021 file). However, as precaution, you will see the steps for making a back up copy.
