Turbotax 2021 purchased from Costco

I purchased the 2021 Turbotax for windows from Costco. I have just migrated to a MacBook Pro and would like to get a 2021 Mac download so I can install it on my new laptop. How do I get a 2021 Mac software copy to install on my new laptop? Can the key I received from my Costco purchase work with the Mac? I would like to get some experience with Turbotax before I need to get the 2022 version next year.

If you bought the CD it has both Windows and Mac programs on it.  But if you bought the download  it is only for Windows or Mac.  You need to call in and ask for the other download.

If you do get the Mac program installed.  You need to copy the .tax2021 data file from Windows.  After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to File-New Tax Return).

Then go to FILE -Open and find your return.
