Somebody on this thread advised me to put in J.P.Morgan and that worked.
If you select J.P. Morgan Securities in the list, it should work.
Investigations has confirmed the Chase issue and there is a link to sign up for notification when fixed. Click here
@mouyang You have to clear cache and cookies for the same broker. You may want to do it between brokers as well.
This may be a good work around but TurboTax needs to fix this. This help article has been updated multiple times but seems like Chase import has not worked for any one this season. Do we have a timeline of fixing this?
I just dealt with this problem an hour ago. I have the Windows CD version on my laptop. I spent 4 hours dealing with Chase - who said the problem is on the TT side and that I needed to call them. I then called Turbo Tax and they said I had to redo my return on the Internet site instead of the CD. There is some glitch where the CD version doesn't show all the partners for download (don't ask why). I was ticked because I already paid for the CD and the state and then here I am trying to reinput all the stuff on line. But the download did work online - not on my CD laptop version. When you call they will either give you a credit refund for what you paid for the CD version OR they'll let you do your return online free. But you have to call them and work it out ahead of time because they have to give you a code to input on the screen before you go to the screen to enter your credit card. It was a pain in the ass to deal with it but TT was very accommodating in giving me the code and the return got finished.
Using Chase Investments not work. Try J.P. Morgan Securities.
I am trying to import my 1099 from Charles Schwab and I get the error that the login service is not available, but nevertheless, I am able to log in to Schwab outside of Turbotax. I called the TTAX help desk and they wash their hand off the issue indicating that that was Schwab's problem. How is it that they have an interface with another service provided and they are not taking any ownership of the problem. It is TTAX responsibility to escalate to Schwab in particular given that this year they change the way the interface works and they are forcing to log into the Intuit account. So they made a change and assume no responsibility for ensuring the change works.
The same thing is happening with the interface with Schwab. I called their help desk and they wash their hands off the problem.
We are still currently working to resolve this matter. You can sign up for updates concerning importing from Chase in the Help Article here.
Please see the Help Article here for further assistance with your 1099.
If this still isn't working for you, please try to utilize the workaround posted on this thread here.
It's under J.P. Morgan Securities not Chase. It will send you to chase to get a code to enter.
I agree! try getting a refund! the only reason I went to TurboTax was they had Chase Investments as one of their partners, started looking into the problems on 2/17, on 2/24 I submitted a refund request, was to have received an email notifying me that the request was received, never did, but of course I received the usual "your case has been resolved" email. Checked back yesterday, the case has been closed, called and spoke to representative, by closed what does that mean? Am I getting a refund??
Please see these steps provided by Chase to help with your import.
For Brokerage and Managed Accounts
Within the TurboTax software, use “Chase Investments” to search for the financial institution.
Enter your chase.com username, password, and identification code.
Request the identification code by clicking the ‘Get Your Identification Code’ link within TurboTax.
You'll be presented with a chase.com sign-in page for multifactor authentication purposes (similar to the one that appears when you sign in to chase.com from an unrecognized computer).
Choose to receive the identification code by phone, text, or email.
Upon receipt, type the identification code into TurboTax to proceed with the download process; the identification code expires after 30 minutes.
Why am I unable to import from Chase Bank/Investments?
Chase customer support is (800)392-5749.
Before TurboTax specialist responds to a question it will be nice to check TT as there is no Chase Investment listed in their drop down menu under down loading list.
This problem is going on since Feb. 19 and still no solution to the problem. May be next year not buy TT and go with alternate Tax software.
I think TT should refund the amount spent on TT.
If you are not seeing specific entities and have tried all other methods, please reach out to us directly using the Help Article here. This ensures you will get to the correct department as quickly as possible.
Thank you for posting. Have been on the phone with both Turbo Tax and Chase/JP Morgan today trying to get this resolved. Your link worked like a charm.
