I purchased deluxe and upgraded for $40 thinking I could get head of household and I can't. So what good is the software if I can't claim HoH? I need to be able to change this and I think I am due a refund of the $40 upgrade. I am entitled to more deductions. And now I have to go back and review my 2020 taxes as I may not have been given that option either. Thanks Turbo tax. :(

Not sure why you thought the software version you used would make a difference to your filing status. It does not. Your filing status is not determined by which software you use.

If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.
"I am entitled to more deductions..."
What deductions? If you are trying to enter itemized deductions then you must use Deluxe or higher---you cannot use the Free Edition.
I have done this and I am not getting HoH status. My son is still my dependent
