Is turbo tax ready or not? I purchased weeks ago, they too my money and charged credit card. Yesterday I could not enter investment data. Later they sent notice it was done with updates and ready.
Today i get same not ready message on investment data.
Might be time to seek refund.

s/w updates usually come mid-week. a lot of updates will come in January. if you're trying to do estimates for final year-end moves or Q1 ES payment then use something else like this, FreeTaxUSA or switch to something else.
(I meant *Q4 ES payment* for 2025 above)
Schedule D for reporting investment gains and losses for tax year 2025 is estimated to be available on 01/06/2026.
Go to this TurboTax website for forms and schedules availability - https://form-status.app.intuit.com/tax-forms-availability/formsavailability?albRedirect=true&product...
How come the various 1099 forms do not show up on that list? Are they just part of the 1040? Right now the 1099-B doesn't even show up in the Windows version.
This list is from perspective of filing availability which is why it refers to 8949 and Schedule D, which are what gets filed by inputting 1099B info. That's all we have to go on really, if those end filing results will be available Jan 6th then presumably the 1099B input will be too. Guess we'll see next week.
There was a rather long post on this topic but it's gone now.
Evidently one must not speak ill of Turbo Tax here.
Even though they are not being very forthcoming.
The long post is still there:
There are two important tax dates in the year: December of the tax year and January 15 of the filing year. The former allows one to adjust income/deductions to a favorable balance. The second is for the fourth estimated tax payment, which triggers penalties if not in compliance. Now, I understand the tax forms may not be ready for printing or for electronic submission until late January. However, the "program" should be completely ready by mid December to allow for the above scenarios. They had a full 8 months to work on that (since April 15), and with little change in the tax code. What is INTUIT's excuse? Last year, things were updated much earlier so I had no complaints. This year, I have to use FreeTaxUSA to do all my estimates because TurboTax does not even allow me to work on certain forms. Don't tell me this is related to H-visas or DOGE or the Shutdown!
Thanks, I did find the topic. It was on this landing page and was quite obvious to see. Now it is buried and hard to find.
There is really not much else to say about this total indifference and lack of customer support by Intuit. Two weeks in a row with no updates, no comments at all from Intuit.
I would be out of business quite quickly if I treated my customers like this and rightly so.
