If you received Form 1095-A, Health Insurance Marketplace Statement, you need to enter the form and TurboTax will automatically generate form 8962 Premium Tax Credit.

To report Form 1095-A:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to Federal Taxes.
  3. Go to Deductions and Credits.
  4. Scroll down to Medical and click show more.
  5. Scroll down to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A).

You will need to get your 1095A form from the Marketplace. You can download it from your account or call them and have them re-send it.

Once you have the 1095A, you will need to enter it in the TurboTax software:

  1. While signed in and working in TurboTax Online 2019, click on Federal in the black menu on left.
  2. Click on Deduction and Credits in the upper portion of the page.
  3. Scroll down and click on Medical, Show More.
  4. Click on the Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A).
