See this TurboTax FAQ on how to find your AGI

If you filed late last year there is a good chance that the 2018 AGI never was entered into the e-file database. Try using 0 (zero) for the AGI.

If you filed an amended return use the AGI on the first filed tax return.

If it continues to reject then the AGI in the IRS database might be in error. Mail filing is the only option.

Your best bet would be to download a copy of your 2018 tax transcript from the IRS.  A transcript is an abbreviated version of your return, and it contains your 2018 AGI.  You can use the link below to get your transcript.

Other options are included in the TurboTax FAQ linked below.

How do I get my AGI if I don't have a prior year tax return?

(If you can’t get a hold of your prior year return/AGI to e-file, don’t worry. You can always print and mail your return instead.)

If you don’t have a prior year return, you have a few options.

You can:

  • Order an online transcript of your return on the IRS Transcript site.
  • Order a printed transcript of your return on the IRS Transcript site that will be sent to you by mail to the last address on your last return. (If you’ve moved, file an 8822 to update your address which takes 4–6 weeks)
  • Call the IRS on 800-829-1040 or make an appointment at a local IRS office.
  • Print your return and send it in by mail if you’re still having trouble getting your adjusted gross income (AGI) from last year.

Note: If you didn’t file last year and you’re in TurboTax, just tell us that when we ask you. If you’ve already entered a number for your AGI, manually enter 0 instead.

I mailed my return 8 weeks ago and it still can't find me. I am not even sure I filed in 2018 because I did not work very much and was moving around. I desperately need my return and stimulus money and am very frustrated chasing my tail trying to find this number and not being able to make a simple phone call to see if I actually did. Am afraid my return got lost in the mail

 Any suggestion?

If you mailed in your return then it will take a long time to process as the IRS is not processing any paper returns at this time due to the partial shutdown.  And if you did not mail it with some sort of tracking then you will not know if it got there ...  normally  I would not recommend it but you could switch to efile and see if the return is accepted or rejected .... if rejected you will know if the return is already in the system and then  all you can do is wait patiently.
