I was eligible for unemployment compensation in 2020, but did not receive it until 2021; so a family member supported me financially in 2020 and claimed me as a dependent that year. However, I would now like to file my taxes and I am eligible for a refund. How does this work and how can I file?

You can create an online account in TurboTax and start with the Free Edition. If your return is more complex and requires situations not covered in the Free Edition you’ll be promoted to upgrade. You can do your state taxes too.

You can get your refund by check, direct deposit or a Credit Karma Money Spend Account.
